About 216 sq km area of Kutubdia Island is located in Cox's Bazar district. There is no electricity connection on the island of Kutubdia. Electricity requirements are met by generators and solar power. There are many diversity here. Lonely sea beaches, the biggest wind power plant in Bangladesh, the salt cultivation, the lighthouse, the shrine of Qutub Auliya, and many more to see.


Kutubdia Channel


Kutubdia channel is quite big. Although it is quite rampant throughout the year, it is fairly calm in winter. From Magnamma Ghat, this channel has to reach the island.

Sea beach

Kutubdia's beach is about 16 kilometers long north-south. Most of the areas are quite solitary. The tourists have not been told. Occasionally there are fishermen business. Somewhere along the beach there is a row of jhaw. Another main feature of the Kutubdia beach is that there is a lot of gungchil roaming around there. On the occasion of solitude, somewhere in the beach some red crab teams roam around fearlessly. Kutubdia beach is the ideal place to see sunset scenes.
Wind power plant

The largest wind power station in Bangladesh is located in Kutubdia. About one thousand kilowatt capacity power plant has been set up at the southern end of the beach, in Ali Akbar's Dell area. Do not make the mistake of seeing the country's largest wind power plant

Lighthouse

A lighthouse that was built in Kutubdia a long time ago, to show the way of the sailors of the seafaring ship. The old lighthouse was dissolved in the sea long ago. However, while still falling, the ruins of the lighthouse are sometimes seen to wake up. The lighthouse that was built in the old lighthouse area now shows the way for sailors. The position of the present light is far from some distance to the north by the beach in the Barghora market.

The height of the Kutubdia lighthouse, built on stone base, was about 40 meters. There were six chambers, and stairs were wooden. The eight-fitted lamp was installed in the highest room. Lamp fuel was coconut oil. The ground floor of the lighthouse was under the ground and its walls were very thick.

Qutub Awali Darbar


Durbar Sharif of Qutb Awali in Dhurang area of the island. The founder of this court, Shah Abdul Malek al-Qutbabi Born here in 1911. He died on 11 February 2000. Every year thousands of devotees visit their wedding anniversary (7 Falgun). It is said that Kutubdiyar was named after the ancestors of Qutb Awaliya. His son Shahjada Sheikh Farid is currently in charge of the Kutub Sharif court.

Salt cultivation

Salt is cultivated in Kutubdia land in winter. During this time, you can see that farmers are busy with salt cultivation in the fields. There are more and less salt cultivated throughout the island. However, most salt fields are in Tabela Char, Kaiser Bill, Ali Akbar's Dell. Here are the various techniques of salt production in natural ways.

How to go

To go Kutudia, at first, you have to go Cox's Bazar. There are many direct bus from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar. Sohag Transport, T.R. Travels, Green Line Transport, Hanif Enterprise, St. Martin's Transport, and Soudia Paribahan AC Bus are popular . Rent 1 thousand 700 to 2 thousand 5 hundred taka.

Besides, the fares for non AC transport buses of S Alam, Saudia, Shyamoli, Unique, Eagle etc ranges from 630 to 800 taka. These buses will have to ride on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar route, in front of the Inani Resort. From there, go to CNG-operated babytaxy Magnama Ghat. Revenue per person is Tk 35. The reserve took two hundred taka. From the Magnama Ghat to the Kutubdia Channel, the engine boats or speed boats should be crossed.

Engine boats take 20 to 25 minutes, rent 15 to 20 taka. The speedboat takes 10 minutes, the rent is 60 taka. Kutubdia can cross the channel.

It will take 25 to 30 taka to reach the highway market rickshaw. Apart from the eastern edge of the third Karnaphuli Bridge in Chittagong and the bus from Cox's Bazar bus stand goes directly to the Magnamma Ghat. Rent Chittagong Tk 160, Cox's Bazar 90 taka

Where to stay

The hotel is the only luxury accommodation for tourists on the island of Kutubdia. Sea beauty can be enjoyed at this hotel, the beauty of the sea. Eat and drink

Kutubdia does not get anything special for food. But from Cox's Bazar. you can find plenty of food here. You will get rice, various types of food, dry fish and fish and meat.

Alert

There is no arrangement to mark the tide at the beach. So, knowing the time of tide in self-responsibility, to get into the sea bath. During the tide, it is dangerous to get out of the sea.
