  • The first floor of the museum is a small version of the whole Bangladesh. Starting with the map of Bangladesh, this tree will see more trees, animals, Sundarbans, life style of the tribes, mineral rocks, sculptures, coins and various sculptures of the ancient period.
  • On the second floor of the building, you will see the evolution of civilization and history of Bangladesh. This floor is decorated with various heritage of different kinds of weapons, musical instruments, porcelain handicrafts, cottage industry, manuscripts, contemporary art and various heritage of Bangladesh.
  • Apart from this, the third floor of the building has many portraits of world famous people, portraits, and paintings of world class.


To get knowledge about Bangladesh, it can be a suitable place for education, Bangladesh Museum. Bangladesh National Museum has an estimated 30 thousand to 40 thousand books related to its own library. This library has played a special role in research. Apart from this, the Museum Auditorium, which is used for various workshops, seminars or meetings.

The museum complex is decorated with a variety of trees. The historic two cannons are on both sides of the entrance of the building. The third floor is furnished - arms, porcelain, dolls and musical instruments, textiles and apparel, nakshi kantha, manuscripts, contemporary art and temperamental Bangladesh.

Ticket price

There is a need to enter the ticket from the counter and enter the ticket. Ticket Counter at the front of the main gate. Where the ticket price is 10 taka for 3 to 12 year olds, 20 takas for those aged 12 and 100 takas for foreign visitors.

However, there are free opportunities for children and students in National Day, such as Pahela Boishakh, 26th March and 21st February.

How to go

The national museum is situated on the southern side of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Shahbagh area. The museum will be seen in front of the Shahbag Gol Chattar or Shahbagh Police Box on any bus of Shahbag route from your area.
