Miyabari Jame Mosque is situated in the village of North Karaapur in Barisal Sadar. One of the ancient mosques situated in Barisal district is Karapur Miyabari Mosque.

 It is believed that the mosque was built in the 18th century. Recently, Kalpur Miyabari Mosque has been painted and repaired. Because of this, the ancient features of this mosque have become very dissolve.

This karapura miyabari mosque has been built on the high basement. There are some rooms inside the basement, which are being used for the stay of the madrasa students near the mosque. There is a wide staircase in the staircase to enter the mosque.

The rectangular mosque has three small sized domes on top, in which the middle dome is slightly larger than the other two domes. There are four minarets on the front wall of Kadapur Miyabari mosque and eight monuments including four monuments on the back wall. Besides, there is a huge pond on the eastern side of Kadapur Miyabari Mosque.

How to go

Barisal by bus or by road:

By road, you can reach Barisal from Dhaka to 6 to 8 hours. Every bus has left Barisal from Gabtali Bus Terminal for 6 to 10pm every day. Most of the buses cross the Paturia Ghat to Barisal and some buses cross the Mawa Ghat to Barisal. Buses coming from Dhaka stops at the Nijulabad bus stand of Barisal.

Barisal by launch

Barisal launches from Dhaka depart from Sadar Ghat between 8am and 9pm. Of these, beautiful forests 7/8, Survi 8, Parabat 11, Kirtankhola 1/2 launches are good. The launch reached Barisal at around 5am.
