Saturia Jomidar Bari, Jhalkathi [Complete Tour Guide]

The location of Saturia zamindar house in Saturia village near Bakutia ferry gate of Rajapur-Pirojpur highway in Jhalakathi district of Barisal Division.

It is the founder of Saturiya zamindari family and the founding house of the Islamic scholar Sheikh Shahabuddin.

About 3,500 years ago this house was built. There are many ponds, flower gardens, three old architectural buildings, mausoleum made of ornaments, main gates, or front door in the landlord established on about 100 acres of land.

The village, which is full of beautiful natural beauty, is blessed with the birth of  Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque.

It was Fazlul Huq's mother's house. Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq's father's house was spent in Barisal's Chakra, but he had spent some honey days with his mother Saidunnessa in Mambari Saturia.

His primary education started in Moktob. Not only for his childhood, he spent many valuable time in his political life and career, in the Saturia zamindar house.

Way to go

From the Sadarghat of Dhaka to the Rajshahi Ghat on the launch or steamer, the zamindar can go to the bus for transportation.

Apart from Sayedabad and Gabtoli, you can go to Rajapur and take any bus to Saturia.

But if you want to stay in a hotel you will have to go to Barisal Sadar. Distance from Jhalakathi, which is about 20 kilometers away.
