Dumlong Mountain, Bilaichori, Rangamat [Travel Guide]

Dumlong is a mountain of Bangladesh. It is privately claimed to be the second highest mountain in Bangladesh. Although the Country's second highest mountain in Jälong or Medak Mual, in GPS readings.

Dumlong is situated in the district of Belaichari in the south-eastern Rangamati district of Bangladesh. The height of the mountain is 3,314 feet. It is one of the highest mountains of Rangamati district and one of the 3 mountains of the country's height of 1000 meters. 3315 ft in some GPS readings.

Google Earth sees this as the second highest peak in the country. It was called Rengtlang as the highest point of the Rengtlang. The locals of used to call Dumelong. Dumlong is basically a small hill river, which is a few kilometers north of the mountains, mixed in the Rakhain river. As a source of this genre, the peacock is also called dumlong.

How to go

Even though Bilaichari of Rangamati district is located in Rangamati district, contact with the people of this region takes a long time with Ruma Bazar of Bandarban district, because it takes a lot of time to go to Bilaichari, and Ruma only takes one day. From Bandarban to Ruma Bazar Baga Lake, Pukur Para / Prangjang Para. From there one can come back to Dungalong.


Accommodation

Residential House Reservation at Bagha Lake - This number can be contacted (Laram Bum 01552376551). However, because of network deficiency, it can not be connected for most of the time. Here a modern rest house of Hill Development Board is under construction. Within a few days, there will be an opportunity for a night to be there.
