Railway Workshop, Saidpur, Nilphamari [Travel Guide]

Saidpur is one of the oldest cities of Bangladesh. For the trade and commerce, this city is well-known but many people are known as Saidpur 'Town of Rail'. The biggest railway factory in the country is located here.

In 1870, 26 workers of 26 factories in this factory, built in British period, were working on 100 acres of land. All the work was done from Nat-Boltu to the railway broad gauge and repair of the meter gauge line.

In addition to polytechnics and technical students, students of different organizations acquired practical knowledge by visiting or visiting the education. The head of the factory is Divisional Supervisor (DS) Manzur-Ul-Alam Chowdhury. The British era sergeant engine is kept in the green square in front of his office.

How to go

You can go straight to Syedpur from Dhaka to Nilasagar express train. The train fares are very low. There are also bus services available from Gabtoli, CollegeGate, Mohakhali directly to Syedpur. You can also go to Syedpur directly by air. United Airways and Bengal Airways private aircraft are being run for two days in Syedpur. It takes 30/40 minutes.
